Ralph Macchio signs on for YouTube Red series Cobra Kai

ABC News has just confirmed that actor Ralph Macchio will reprise his role as Daniel LaRusso in the YouTube Red series “Cobra Kai”.   According to the official press release, the series will take place 30 years after the events of the All Valley Karate Tournament seen in Karate Kid.  Returning to their role as Cobra Kai bully Johnny Lawrence will be William Zabka.

Pat Morita who played Mr. Miyagi passed away in 2005.

Cobra Kai will be released on YouTube Red in 2018
