Apple Software Updates Threatens to Brick Your iPhone
A few people outside the tech world are aware of the so-called “error 53” problem, you know that one that kills your iPhone. The problem is due to Apple’s latest operating system that permanently disables iPhones if it detects that a repair has been carried out by a non-Apple technician, like a third party.
The issue affects handsets where the home button has been repaired by a third party company or individual. It all started when the latest version of Apple’s iPhone software (iOS9) was released and installed. The handset may have been working fine prior to the update, but shortly stops working rendering it completely useless with all your data and photos lost.
The Sad part is that some Tech experts claim that Apple is clearly aware of this problem but has done nothing to warn users that their precious iPhone will be “bricked.” Which leaves me to question how can a company deliberately make their own products useless after an update and not warn their own customers?
